Password Screen Elimination |
|
| Please understand the security implications.
If you eliminate your log-on screen, anyone at any time can turn on your computer
and access you personal information. If this is not a problem, and
if you want your computer to "boot" into a specific user
account, then follow the quick procedure below:
From the Start Menu select Run
In the Run dialog box type "control userpasswords2"
In the User Accounts dialog box select the account that you want the computer to boot to. (Your accounts will be different from mine.)
Un-Check the "Users must enter a user name and password to us this computer." box, and click Apply You will get a "Automatically Log On" dialog box, were you must enter the password of the account.
Enter the password for the account (if there is no password leave the fields blank). Click OK Click OK (User Accounts) Your computer should now boot directly to your desktop! If you have any problems you post your question on our Electronics Help Forum
