| Poor Man's Surround Sound | ||

If you have a Stereo Amplifier and 4 speaker systems you can wire them together to get nice surround like sound for your entertainment system. Below is an interconnect wiring for the speakers and audio amplifier. The Left Front and Right Front speakers are wired as they would normally be wired to the stereo amplifier. The Left Rear and Right Rear speakers are wired in a loop, so that common sounds between the two channels are cancelled, and differential sounds are produced from the rear speakers out of phase. This gives a surprisingly good surround sound effect. | |
